My Puppies

On December 31, 2000 we adopted a dog named Smiley . The animal shelter in North Battleford was going to put her down and we felt sorry for her, so we brought her home with us. Smiley was pregnant. On January 21,2001 she had her pupies in a box in our porch. Smiley had five little puppies. There were two boys and three girls. Four of them were white with black markings and one was black with white markings. They were about six and a half inches long. Their eyes were closed and they had no teeth. We used a waterbed frame to make a bed for them in the livingroom. When they got older we gave them nick names to tell them apart. Squirt was the smallest, Squeaky made little squeaky noises, Bubbu because he was dopey looking, Grumblebum because she grumbles all the time, and Rock because every time he was after food he sent everybody flying.
